About

Women deserve nutrition advice from someone with credentials and care.

I'm Sinéad O'Donovan. Registered Dietitian, founder of Nourish to Flourish, and someone who believes women deserve better than the advice they've been given.

The journey

How I got here

I came to nutrition through food, family, and a slight detour through International Commerce. Here's how I got here.

  1. 2015

Highest mark in Home Economics in Ireland (Leaving Certificate)

Won the national award for the highest mark in Home Economics. The first sign that the combination of food, science, and people was where I belonged.

  2. 2016

Started a degree in International Commerce at UCD

My father was a career guidance counsellor who always told me to follow my passion. I didn't listen straight away.

  3. 2017

    Switched to Human Nutrition, UCD

A year into Commerce, I knew it wasn't right. I changed direction and finally followed what had been pulling at me.

  4. 2020

    Graduated BSc Human Nutrition, UCD

    First-class honours.

  5. 2021

Postgraduate Certificate in Sport and Exercise Nutrition, Ulster University

    Awarded with Distinction.

  6. 2023

Graduated MSc Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, UCD

First-class honours. Recipient of the INDI Gold Medal for Academic Excellence.

  7. 2022 to 2025

Clinical Dietitian at the National Maternity Hospital

Two and a half years of inpatient and outpatient clinical experience. The foundation for everything I do now.

  8. 2024

    Founded Nourish to Flourish

The dietitian-led programme for women whose bodies have changed. Over 500 women have come through since.

The why

Why I built Nourish to Flourish

I kept seeing the same thing in clinic. Intelligent, motivated women doing all the right things and still not getting results. Women who had spent years trying to be "good" with food, who had followed every programme, counted every calorie, restarted every Monday. They were exhausted. They were confused. And the advice they had been given over the years simply wasn't designed for the bodies they had now.

The problem wasn't them. The problem was that the advice didn't acknowledge how their bodies had changed.

I built Nourish to Flourish to fix that gap. It's a dietitian-led programme designed for women whose bodies are no longer responding to the rules they used to follow. It's evidence-based, sustainable, and built around the truth that nutrition is about the whole person. Mindset, habits, lifestyle, sleep, stress, community. Not just calories on a plate.

The outcomes I'm proudest of are not the ones on the scales. They're the women who say they've stopped obsessing over food. Whose cholesterol has come down. Whose energy is back. Who finally feel like themselves again.
